Ralph Lauren launched Polo in 1978 as woody chypre fragrance for men. It was aimed at people whom was fans of beautiful and internal things within tradition. Ralph Lauren Polo opens up with basil, juniper berries, coriander, bergamot and caraway than moves onto a strong blend of jasmine, pepper, geranium, chamomile, pine tree, rose and carnation than finishes with vetiver, oakmoss, tobacco, musk, cedar, patchouli and amber to make this wonderful masculine scent. The notes combine to create a fresh, masculine fragrance that is utterly timeless. The fragrance exudes success, masculinity, power, and the mix of Tobacco, green notes, spices and Pine gives off the vibe that the fragrance that would feel right at home at a gentleman's country club. Like many classic fragrances, this is long lasting and powerful, with an impressive projection and longevity. The nose behind the fragrance was create by Carlos Benaim. Top notes: Basil, juniper berries, coriander, bergamot, caraway and Artemisia. Heart notes: Jasmine, pepper, geranium, chamomile, pine tree needles, leather, rose and carnation. Base notes: Vetiver, oakmoss, tobacco, musk, cedar, patchouli and amber. How to Apply: Apply it to your body warmest points, such as crease of your elbows and wrists that intensifies longevity of the fragrance. Avoid rubbing after application as this will reduce the longevity of the fragrance. For wrist application, apply the fragrance after hand washing.
