Launched in 1984 Ysatis, by Givenchy, is a Chypre Floral fragrance for women created by the legendary Dominique Ropion, in fact it was one of his first notable fragrances. The fragrance opens with a stunning mix of notes, as Aldehydes, Bergamot, Brazilian Rose wood, Citruses, Coconut, Galbanum, Mandarin Orange, Orange Blossom and Ylang Ylang mix to introduce the fragrance. The middle notes make for a fantastic bouquet of floral scents, with notes of Carnation, Iris, Jasmine, Narcissus, Rose and Tube rose, alongside a note of Rum. In the base of the fragrance are notes of Amber, Civet, Cloves, Honey, Laurels, Musk, Oakmoss, Patchouli, Sandalwood, Vanilla and Vetiver. This was a masterpiece when it was launched, a truly magnificent fragrance, and it's stood the test of time, still smelling as magical, elegant, and powerful as it did back in the 1980's.
