La Panthère Extrait is a Chypre Floral fragrance for women, launched in 2014 by Cartier. The fragrance was inspired by the history of Cartier, who have long had a history with a Panther symbol and had previously released a perfume called Panthère back in 1986. La Panthere Extrait contains top notes of Dried Fruits, Big Strawberry and Rhubarb, which sit on top of a heart of Gardenia and Iris. In the base notes La Panthere Extrait contains notes of Musk, Moss, Leather and Patchouli. The fragrance is exceedingly classy and luxurious, with the notes being incredibly clear, recognisable and strong, yet never overpowering, and all blended to perfection. From top to bottom the fragrances is incredibly smooth, slightly sweet, wonderfully creamy and the notes seem like they were made for each other with perfect balance. The fruit notes are realistic, the floral notes are stunning and the base notes are a touch animalic, with a truly stunning and smooth musk note. The fragrance can be worn year round, it lasts wonderfully and is a true piece of perfuming brilliance.
