Bijan Men is an amber fougere fragrance for men launched by Bijan, originally in 1981 before being re-released, in it's current form, in 1987. The year after it's launch the fragrance would go on to win the 1988 FiFi award for the Men's Fragrance of the Year, under the Prestige category. The fragrance, housed in a trademark Bijan-style flacon, has top notes of Oakmoss, Sage, Musk, Nutmeg, Lavender, Lemon, Bergamot, Mandarin Orange and Fruity Notes; middle notes of Honey, Carnation, Fir, Cinnamon, Tarragon, Sandalwood, Amber, Ylang-Ylang Iris, Jasmine and Rose and base notes of Leather, Cloves, Patchouli, Musk, Rosemary, Vetiver, Benzoin, Cedar, Vanilla and Tonka Bean. The fragrance is as a complex and compelling as the huge number of notes would suggest, and much like Bijan himself, it oozes opulence. The fragrance opens with a blend of citrus fruits and aromatics, before going through a long, and exciting journey, that sees honeyed flowers, woods, spices, vanilla, Leather and eventually Patchouli all getting a chance to shine and show what they can do.
